A Night Out at Home
If you’re a night owl stuck at home, you might be out of ideas for what to do in the evenings. Everything is closed, and you can’t hang out with your friends. It’s tempting to get on the computer or turn on a movie, but screen time only makes it harder to get to sleep. Here are a few screenless evening activities well worth trying.
Stargazing
Depending on what the exterior lighting Clearwater of your area is like, you may be able to see some remarkable nighttime sights. Stars are just the beginning; meteor showers, lunar eclipses and planets are all only visible at night. If your sky is dark enough, you may even be able to see some manmade satellites, like the International Space Station, as it sweeps by overhead. There’s plenty to look at, and the sky changes every night, so check your night sky forecast to see what’s coming up.
Swimming
Night swimming is a fun thing to do. A hot tub can be very relaxing late at night, and swimming around the pool (if it’s open late or if you have your own) can be a good way to get some exercise and tire yourself out a little bit before bed. It’s not for everyone, of course, and it probably won’t help on weekdays, but if you can, why not?
Campfires
Fires are best enjoyed safely and at night. There’s nothing like watching the sparks from a campfire drifting up into a night sky. Even if you don’t have the space for an open fire, you can still light candles and enjoy the glow.
Insomnia is a pain at the best of times and can make a mess of your life at the worst, but if you’re already a night owl, enjoying a night outside is no bad thing.
