My dog ate my food processor…
Have you ever had those moments that feel like they were crafted by sitcom writers, because they’re too ridiculous to happen in real life? That’s what happened to me last week, when I got ready to enter my local county fair’s pie contest.
I recently adopted a new puppy to celebrate my retirement (his name is Huckleberry), and I planned to make a pie in his honor. But the morning I planned to bake my first test pie, I woke up and entered the kitchen to discover Huck was already there. He’d somehow managed to get into one of my lower kitchen cabinets, and he was currently chewing a hole in one of my other spatulas. This wouldn’t be a problem (obviously I have other spatulas), but the kitchen floor was covered in all manner of kitchen utensils… including a chewed-up dough blade and the bowl of my food processor, which had a huge crack running down one side.
Needless to say, I was frustrated with my puppy. I gave him a stern talking to, put him in his little dog bed, and assessed the damage in my kitchen. It was clear I was not going to make a pie unless I got a new food processor — and as a retiree on a modest income, that wasn’t exactly in the cards.
It was actually my daughter who suggested that I look for replacement parts online. It had never occurred to me that I could buy Cuisinart food processor parts without buying a whole new machine! So I sat down at the computer and did a quick search online, where I was lucky enough to run across Kitchen Works Inc.
Firstly, let me say that I so appreciated the way Kitchen Works helped me find the right pieces for my machine. They’re handy guide helped my locate the model number for my current processor, and their site is organized so you can find the right pieces without much difficulty. And that’s a great thing, because they have A LOT of pieces in their store! I am certain that if they hadn’t don’t such a good job organizing their options, I never would have found what I needed. Great job, Kitchen Works!
The entire shopping process was quick and painless, even for a tech luddite like me. But I was able to place my order easily enough, and it arrived after a quick 6 days. I was so impressed by the quality of the products I received. They seemed like they came from Cuisinart itself, but they didn’t cost nearly as much as a new machine might have.
The new Cuisinart food processor parts worked perfectly in my machine, and the test pie I made was delicious (Huck even got a bite or two and he agreed). I’m so thankful to Kitchen Works, Inc. for helping an old lady like me handle a mishap with my new pup so easily. I know I’ll be visiting your site again whenever I need new Cuisinart parts.
